The eight episodes of season one have been filmed in Madrid, making extensive and ingenious use of the interior design and art set up originally created by Henry Chebaane for the Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid.
Beside being a exciting spy thriller with hints of sci-fi, the film features numerous scenes set in corridors, bedrooms, reception lobby as well as ‘Ondas’ bar and ‘Hielo Y Carbon’ the two F&B concepts created by artist and designer Henry Chebaane.

The inciting incident and key scene at the start of the film takes place in the restaurant and cafe created by artist and designer Henry Chebaane for the Parisi Udvar hotel Budapest, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. This magnificent building protected by the heritage was originally designed in the 19th century and refashioned in the early 1900s. The magnificent period lobby is a glass-covered arcade similar to covered passages in Paris, hence the name of the hotel. Numerous Hungarian artists have left their mark, including Miksa Róth who created this masterpiece of Eastern-inspired, art nouveau interior acrhitecture. The mosaic floor is made of 250,000 tiles, stunning panes of coloured glass cover the domed ceilings, and a pair of 19th-century staircases are lined with green tiles from the Zsolnay factory.
THE DAY OF THE JACKAL (2024) is a TV series based on the Frederick Forsyth novel. It is written and created by Ronan Bennett. Produced by Christopher Hall, it stars Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch. Episode 2 of Season One contains a key scene also set in the restaurant Paris Udvar designed be Henry Chebaane. The restaurant stands for a place in Munich and features actress Eleanor Matsuura in the role of Zina Jansone.
REEL ENCOUNTERS (2024) is a British indie film directed by Jasdip Sagar. It was filmed around London Camden starring cameos from a host of actors including Lucy Speed, Andrew Lancel, Jon Campling, Bhasker Patel, Mark Silcox and…our very own Henry Chebaane.

Since Henry Chebaane is also Associate Producer and Production Designer, we are glad to have several of our hospitality design projects used as sets for key scenes in the film. ANyone can visit these inside The Megaro and The Gyle boutique hotels, as well as Spagnoletti and Hokus Pokus alchemy bar, all located near King’s Cross station.

It was filmed around King’s Cross and on location at the restaurant Spagnoletti, also designed by Henry Chebaane.
